| | Does Anybody Got A 100% Electric Powered Vehicle? | | I've heard you can get up to 150 miles on pure electric vehicles. Each time you charge it back up its around only $2.10. I guess you would call it a 100% hybrid vehicle. If this is the case I don't see how this could not be the future. Hydrogen Vehicles can be dangerous because of their explosive ability even though they get high mpg. I don't even think hydrogen vehicles get that high mpg as a 100% hybrid. | |

It would affect the whole world just like a natural disaster.There are alternatives for fossil fuels. The sources of which are plants like cassava, and jetropha. If you get your water bottled, what brand is it, and do you know where the source of the water is? | | Paris is Doing It's Part For Electric Vehicles | | Paris has placed online an extensive, interactive map detailing the locations of every charging station for electric vehicles.They're also placing many, many more charging stations in the city, to hopefully encourage more people to switch from gas to electric. It's not just an option for stoves anymore!;) The charging stations provide electric recharging for bicycles, cars, and even vans and trucks. There are now dozens of charging stations in the city and suburbs, with more to come. By making charging these alternate vehicles an easier matter, the city may see a surge of electric users.Electric cars aren't exactly catching on in America yet, but I for one would like to see that happen. I'd happily drive an electric powered car. It's not the ideal solution, but it's better than expending more non-renewable fuel. | |

| | | Do you allow your kids to be nearby when you mow the lawn? | | There was a story on the local news tonight about a 3-year-old girl who had her leg run over by a lawnmower. Her mom was mowing the lawn, and because she didn't have another adult there at the time, she chose to let her daughter play on the swing set in the backyard. The girl fell off of the swing and into the path of the mower, and I believe the news anchor said she lost one of her toes because of it.When I was a child, I was never allowed to be outside while an adult was using a lawnmower. We only had an electric-powered push mower, but my parents were worried about the possibility of me running out in front of it, or even being hit by a stone if it threw one. If they had to mow the lawn, and nobody else was there to watch me, they chose to wait for a better time to mow the lawn. As far as they were concerned, the only safe place for me while the lawn was being mowed was in the house.What are your thoughts? | |
